BACKGROUND: The Anacaona premium line was named after, and inspired by, a woman of the same name, who was a chief of the Taíno Indians on the island of Hispaniola, which is now the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Not only was she in charge of her tribe, she was well respected by her people and was also revered as a brave warrior and leader.
The Anacaona cigar blend includes a special mix of Cuban seed tobacco grown, processed and aged by Sergio Cuevas in the Taíno homeland of the Dominican Republic. This blend is then wrapped in a flawless Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. This week’s featured Anacaona is the 5-inch by 51 ring gauge Perfecto.
FEATURED LIBATION: Firestone Walker Union Jack (IPA)
The Union Jack, is a beer first released in 2008, 12 years after the brewery was founded in Paso Robles, California. It is also a beer that I have featured on this show before, 2 years and over 80 episodes ago. But I had to revisit it because I suspect that this beer is going to match very well with this week’s featured cigar.

DOC’S CIGAR POSTSCRIPT: Nat Sherman Timeless Collection (Dominican)
This review features the Nat Sherman Timeless Collection torpedo. I first featured this cigar in Episode 316 of the Stogie Fresh 5 podcast back on Saturday, May 12, 2012. These cigars have been resting in my humidor for 1 year, 6.3 months and I pulled out my last two samples for this review.
