Episode 432: Seattle New Year Tour

BACKGROUND: Recently, I spent some time in Seattle, Washington from just after Christmas and through the first few days of the New Year. I was looking for cigars, libations and other necessities of the ‘good life” and I wasn’t disappointed.

Downtown Seattle as seen from West Seattle

Downtown Seattle as seen from West Seattle

Seattle is home to the Space Needle, the Seattle Waterfront ferris wheel, the Original Starbucks and the home of Bill Gates, to mention just a few. During my brief sojourn, I visited several of the districts including West Seattle, Magnolia, Queen Anne Hill, Ballard, Fremont, and the University District. But, my focus was in the Downtown and Waterfront sections.

I stayed at the Waterfront Marriott, which is a quick walking distance to famous Pike’s Public Market and the Downtown area of Seattle. I was looking for the types of things that many guys look for: food, libations, gadgets and technology, coffee and of course, cigars. This week I will relate the high points of my grand tour of Seattle and will not hold back any of the gory details.
