BACKGROUND: This week’s featured cigar, the Señor Rio Añejo, currently comes in just one size. It has filler tobaccos from 3 different regions in Nicaragua and the binder is also Nicaraguan. The wrapper leaf is a dark Mexican San Andrés.
This week I’m featuring the 6-inch by 52 ring gauge Señor Rio Añejo Toro.
FEATURED LIBATION: Señor Rio Añejo Tequila
Señor Rio, has been around since the middle of 2009. Like many tequila companies, they offer the full range of premium tequilas, which includes a Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. The difference between them is the amount of aging that the tequila undergoes. The Añejo has the most age and that aging takes place in oak barrels.
