The cigars are rolled at Patel’s Tavicusa factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Private Cellar comes packaged in boxes of 20 and all sizes are priced within a few cents of $8.50 per stick.
This cigar is available in three sizes: a Robusto at 5-inches by 50 ring, a Torpedo at 6.1-inches by 52 ring and the cigar that I’m featuring today the 6.5-inch by 52, ring gauge Toro, which I will be pairing with Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
FEATURED LIBATION: Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon
The Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon is a limited production bourbon. Four Roses ages their bourbons in new, charred white oak barrels. The Barrel Master who selects the specific barrels that will be used for the Four Roses Single Barrel bourbon. Within every warehouse, there are many barrels that contain aging bourbon, but it is the job of the barrel master to select the barrels that he, or she believes to be the best expressions of the barrels from that lot. Each barrel is sampled and selected for its superior quality prior to being processed and hand bottled. Each bottle has a handwritten label noting the warehouse and the racking location in which the barrel was aged. Each barrel is enough to fill about 235 750 ml bottles with this 100 proof Bourbon.
