BACKGROUND: The J. Grotto Silk has an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper and a double binder of Indonesian and Honduran tobaccos. All this is complimented by filler leaves from the Trojes region of Honduras and from Jalapa, Nicaragua. All tobaccos are aged a full three years.

The Silk line’s presentation includes 20-count Spanish cedar boxes and the distinctive J. Grotto bands and box art. This week’s featured cigar is the 7-1/2″ x 41 ring gauge Silk Lancero.

805 is a Blonde Ale also called Golden Ale, which is typically a straw to medium blonde-colored ale with moderate bitterness and maltiness. The style is closely related to traditional mass-market lagers, and was originally intended as a way of transitioning mass market consumers to craft beers. Firestone says that this blonde ale is crafted for the California lifestyle. They say that this is a versatile beer with a clean finish. The beer weighs in at, ABV: 4.7% / IBUs: 20
