BACKGROUND: Wilson Adams Cigar Company recently debuted their first limited edition cigar. The official release date was May 19th, which also happens to be the birth-date of company owner, Brandon Wilson.
The company is producing just 2,500 total cigars coming in the form of 150 ten-count boxes and 100 ten-count bundles. The MSRP is $120 a box, with a single cigar price of $12.
This week’s featured stogie is the 6.1-inch by 52 ring gauge Mr. Wilson Torpedo.
FEATURED LIBATION: Maker’s Mark Cask Strength
This is just the third whiskey under the Maker’s Mark brand. The first Maker’s Mark was available to the market in 1958 and for the next 52-years that blend never changed and there were no other whiskeys sold by Maker’s. Then, in 2010 they released Maker’s 46, which, BTW, is a very nice bourbon and one that I keep on hand pretty much always.
In the fall of 2014, Maker’s Mark released a cask strength version of their popular bourbon. The Cask Strength is bottled at somewhere between 108 and 114-proof. The bottle I bought weighs in at 111.6-proof or 55.8%ABV.
